Περίληψη – Summary

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the assessment and management of patients with vertebral artery insufficiency (VBI). Even though there are tests regarding the assessment of VBI, these tests have questionable validity and the literature contains case reports of false negativity. It is suggested that both manipulation and mobilisation can potentially be of danger to a patient with vertebral artery insufficiency. Informed consent should be gained before both physical examination and treatment.
