Περίληψη – Summary

Electronic fetal monitoring has been widely used during pregnancy and labour the last decades and its aim is to reduce neonatal neurological morbidity. However, its systematic use did not produce the desired results making therefore further embryo monitoring methods necessary. A new electronic fetal monitoring method, based on fetal electrocardiogram (fECG) analysis, can confirm fetal distress in those cases where cardiotocography (CTG) does not give a clear diagnosis
