Summary | An immunoactivity corresponding to 4.14±0.06 and 4.33±0.07 ng/ml of digitoxin was observed in the serum of male and female rabbits, respectively. This immunoactivity was not found in the human as well as the mouse serum. It is difficult to say if it is a cross-reaction due to an unimportant factor or an endogenous digitoxin-like substance which recognizes the digitoxin antibodies. Available bibliographic data concern findings coming only from a digoxin immunoreactivity in some fluids from animal and human sources. | |
