Summary Aim of the present evaluation is the assessment of the educational work at the Physiotherapy Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Lamia. Two questionnaires containing closed type questions were used. The first questionnaire concerned an evaluation of the teachers from the students and the second a self-assessment of the teachers. Initially, it was recorded how students’ expectations altered depending on the term of study, the specialization of course, the characteristics and the teaching ability of teachers. The opinions of the students were notified to the teachers. The following year a New Greek Law on Higher Education was put into practice, regarding among others Teachers Employment Qualifications. The study was repeated. Simultaneously, the objective picture, that the teachers had of their own teaching performance, was recorded, self-assessment. The main results of the statistical analysis showed that the students are, to a large extent, satisfied with the scientific knowledge of their teachers. They prefer teachers holding a Master Degree, teaching the theoretical and practical part of mixed courses and in total appear to be more satisfied with theories. Less satisfied were both teachers and students from the promotion of research, concerning other characteristics of the educational process.
