Summary | Combinatorial chemistry is having a major impact on the design and implementation of drug discovery programmes throughout the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries. Rapid advances have already been made in the variety of chemical transformations now practicable on the solid phase. Combinatorial chemistry is a powerful tool that has radically altered the way in which large numbers of diverse compounds can be produced. The development of this technique and its implications in drug discovery are discussed. | |
