| Summary | Nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSA/Ds) inhibit the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes. In our study we tried to determinate the rofecoxib concentrations after administration of this COX-2 selective inhibitor in male Wistar rats, using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) as the most reliable technique. Our results indicate that rofecoxib is not detectable after 10 days of high dose administration. | |
