Summary Geminin is implicated in the processes of cell cycle regulation and differentiation. In the present study, we investigate geminin’s role in the immune system, since both hematopoiesis and activation of the peripheral leukocytes require highly controlled proliferation and differentiation events. We challenged T cells from lymph nodes and spleenic extracts with TCR-mediated stimuli and recorded a dramatic upregulation of geminin upon induction. Finally, we have used transgenesis in order to elaborate our knowledge on geminin’s in vivo role and study the effects of geminin’s in vivo overexpression.
