Summary Since its introduction in emergency anesthesiology practice succinylcholine (Sch) remains one of the most commonly used neuromuscular-blocking drugs. Its pharmacotechnical structure and pharmacodynamic stability combined with its safe haemodynamic profile and velocity effect have reasonably rated it as a first-choice drug in emergency myochalasis.
