| Summary | Compounds AT3 and C2 designed and synthesized as possible anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agents were evaluated for their biological activities using the carrageenin-induced rat paw edema model. In general the compounds were found to be potent anti-inflammatory agents and to show high inhibitory activity against soybean lipoxygenase. No side effects from the gastrointestinal route were found. The results from Cholesterol, triglygerides, LDL, HDL were significant. From our results it can be concluded that the new compounds might be interesting for further clinical investigations. | |
