| Introduction | Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRI) are preferentially used in the treatment of some psychiatric diseases, like depression, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder. They show their effects on central nerve system by increasing the amount of serotonin via inhibiting its re-uptake in the synapses. But it is not known whether this is valid for the peripheral systems. | |
