Summary | Organizational Culture has become undoubtedly critical in a highly competitive era. But still, little is currently known about the nature or importance of culture in health care organizations. The purpose of this paper is to present the importance of organizational culture and its quantitative analysis in the field of Greek public hospitals. Furthermore, a definition of organizational culture is provided followed by the explanation of a framework for understanding and diagnosing culture in the context of health organizations. Through this procedure a manager of a health care organization will be able to use an instrument in order to define its culture and change it, when it becomes necessary for further improvement. | |
