The Brexit is used as shorthand way of say- ing the UK leaving the EU – merging the words Britain and exit to get Brexit. Due to a Brexit decision, uncer- tainty is raised in the pharmaceutical industry risking the UK becoming a less desirable place for research and development. In this review, we will examine the Brexit impact on UK pharmaceutical industry. We will focus on four exit scenarios that are likely to occur influencing key areas within the pharmaceutical industry such as in- vestment and research finding, regulation and clinical trials processes, slower authorization of new medication and medical devices, incertitude of Intellectual Property (IP) rights, labour market and access.
