Summary It is acceptable that stress which is connected with work it influences negatively the health of workers. It is of particular interest for the repercussions of stress in the health of the nurses. Several researches have examined the repercussions of stress in the health of nurses and in their good natural and mental condition There is an agreement that stress that is connected with work, it influences the nurses’ quality of life negatively, it increases the minor psychiatric unwholesome and perhaps it contributes in the challenge of certain forms of bodily illness Certain researches show that the strategies of confrontation that focus in the problem can anticipate the burnout, while the rejection or the strategies that they focus in the regulation of sentiment contributes in this. However, many of the stressful factors, in the process of nursing care, do not change from the nurse, therefore the change of behaviour to the stressful factors and the use of strategies that they focus in the regulation of sensation, can shape an effective way of confrontation. This possibly explains why certain studies have not found the relation between the techniques that they focus in the solution of the problem and in the burnout.
