| Summary | α2δ ligands gabapentin and pregabalin are approved for the treatment of pain from diabetic neuropathy and post-herpetic neuralgia in adults and as adjunctive therapy of partial seizures in children and pregabalin has been also approved for treatment of anxiety disorders. Fibromyalgia (FBM) is a common chronic pain disorder affecting up to 2% of the general population. Aim of our study was to estimate the safety and the tolerability of pregabalin in the treatment of fibromyalgia and for that purpose a systematic review of relevant randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trials was performed. | ||
