| Introduction | Tricyclic antidepressants and selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are widely used in the treatment of many psychiatric diseases such as depression and panic disorders. They are also used in the treatment of depression and peripheral neuropathy seen in diabetic patients. Clinical and experimental trials have demonstrated that some of SSRIs have some suspicious effects on blood glucose levels in different directions. Especially fluoxetine, sertraline and fluvoxamine are studied in this point of view. But there is not any study investigating the effects of paroxetine at this regard. […] | |
