Περίληψη – Summary

Στην παρούσα έρευνα μελετήθηκε το φαινόμενο του εκφοβισμού και της παρενόχλησης στην εργασία  (σύνδρομο mobbing), σε σχέση με το περιβάλλον εργασίας, το άγχος και τις συνέπειες στην υγεία, σε ένα δείγμα εργαζομένων σε τέσσερις διαφορετικούς χώρους εργασίας στην Αθήνα. Πραγματοποιήσαμε έρευνα με δείγμα 75 επαγγελματίες που ανταποκρίθηκαν με αυτοαναφορά σε Ερωτηματολόγιο Εκφοβισμού. Το 39% ανέφερε ότι έπεσε θύμα εργασιακής παρενόχλησης, σε σχέση με το εργασιακό περιβάλλον, το 37% αναφέρεται σε σύγκρουση/σύγχυση ρόλων, το 31% σε έλλειψη ενδιαφέροντος και ελέγχου, το 31% ότι βιώνει έντονο άγχος, δυσκολία επικοινωνίας, 28% κεφαλαλγίες, διαταραχές ύπνου, 68% έχει συνέπειες στην προσωπική και οικογενειακή του ζωή, ενώ το 91% υποστηρίζει την ανάγκη θέσπισης νομοθεσίας για την αντιμετώπιση του φαινομένου. Σύστημα στήριξης των εργαζομένων που είναι εκτεθειμένοι σε εκφοβισμό με την ατομική/ομαδική και σε επίπεδο οργάνωσης παρέμβαση Κοινωνικού Λειτουργού μπορεί να έχει σημαντικά οφέλη.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the phenomenon of mobbing and harassment at work (mobbing syndrome), in relation to work environment, stress and health symptoms in a sample of workers in four different workplaces in Athens. The research was conducted with a sample of 75 professionals responding to self-reported mobbing questionnaire. 39% reported being mobbing victims at work, 37% reported having problems with conflicts at work/confusion of roles, 31% having lack of interest and control in their work, 31% experienced extreme anxiety, difficulty in communication, 28% headaches, sleep disturbances, 68% feeling mobbing having an impact on personal and family life, while 91% indicate the need of legislation to tackle the phenomenon. Employees exposed to occupational mobbing can have significant benefits when they receive support, on an individual and/or group basis, by social work interventions.
