Περίληψη – Summary

Η δερμοαπόξεση αναπτύχθηκε ως τεχνική για τη βελτιώση της εμφάνισης του προσώπου. Αυτή έχει ευρέως χρησιμοποιηθεί σε περιοχές με φωτογήρανση, δυσχρωμίες, γηρασμένο δέρμα, ρυτίδες, ραβδώσεις, ρινόφυμα και, πάνω από όλα, σε ουλές μετά από ακμή. Η μηχανική δερμοαπόξεση και η δερμοαπόξεση με χρήση Laser (συνήθως CO2 ή Er:YAG) πραγματοποιούνται στις ημέρες μας από δερματολόγους, σε όλο τον κόσμο, με πολύ καλά και μακροχρόνια θετικά αποτελέσματα για το δέρμα. Όπως και σε κάθε άλλη κοσμητική πράξη, θα πρέπει πρώτα να πάρουμε ένα πλήρες ιατρικό ιστορικό, να εξετάσουμε προσεκτικά το δέρμα, να συζητήσουμε τις επιθυμίες του ασθενούς και να ενθαρρύνουμε πραγματοποιήσιμες προσδοκίες. Μετά την πράξη, η στενή παρακολούθηση των ασθενών κατά τη μετεγχειρητική περίοδο θα βελτιώσει τα θεραπευτικά αποτελέσματα και θα μειώσει τη συχνότητα των επιπλοκών.

Dermabrasion was developed as a technique to improve facial performance. It has been widely used to treat photodamaged areas, dyschromias, aging skin, rhytides, stretch marks, rhinophyma and, above all, scars from acne. Mechanical dermabrasion and dermabrasion with laser (usually CΟ2 or Er:YAG) are nowadays performed by dermatologists, all over the world, with very good and long-term benefits for the skin. As any other cosmetic procedure, we should first obtain a complete medical history, carefully examine the skin, discuss patient´s goals and encourage realistic out-come expectations. After the procedure, close monitorring of patients during the postoperative period will improve surgical outcomes and decrease the rate of complications.
