Περίληψη – Summary
|
Η εμφάνιση της παχυσαρκίας κατά τη διάρκεια της εμμηνόπαυσης είναι ένα φαινόμενο που οφείλεται στη διαφοροποίηση και επικράτηση των ανδρογόνων έναντι των οιστρογόνων. Η παχυσαρκία αυτή συμβάλλει στην ανάπτυξη του μεταβολικού συνδρόμου που σχετίζεται με την αντοχή στην ινσουλίνη, την ανάπτυξη σακχαρώδους διαβήτη τύπου ΙΙ, την εμφάνιση καρδιαγγειακών παθήσεων και του καρκίνου με έκδηλο παράδειγμα τον καρκίνο του μαστού. Η διερεύνηση γενετικών παραγόντων ενοχοποιεί κάποια συγκεκριμένα γονίδια που συντελούν στην ομαλή λειτουργία του Νευρικού Συστήματος, αλλά και στην ομοιόσταση του οργανισμού. Το παράδειγμα του καρκίνου του μαστού σε σχέση με την παχυσαρκία στην εμμηνόπαυση δηλώνει την απαραίτητη παρουσία των οιστρογόνων για την αποφυγή του καρκίνου. Η εμφάνιση της παχυσαρκίας στην περίοδο της εμμηνόπαυσης είναι ένας ιδιαίτερα επιβαρυντικός παράγων. |
