| Περίληψη – Summary | The old conception that vaginal mucose is deprived of any absorption is not in accordance to modern clinical data any more. In order to investigate this subject the absorption from the female genital mucose was studied experimentally in mice and women using methylen blue. It was found that the rate of absorption from the vaginal mucose is high in animals as well as in women. On the contrary, absorption from endometrium is restricted in women but higher in mice. It is concluded that experimental and clinical data advocate for a revision of the absorption from the vaginal wall. | |
