Rosacea is a long-term skin condition that manifests with different symptoms and varying degrees of severity. Clinically rosacea is characterized as a chronic rash, located on the facial area. The condition is common in people aged 30-60 originating in Southern Europe [1,2] and affects women to a greater extent. It occurs more frequently in people with sensitive skin and is accompanied by periods of recession and exacerbation. This review will focus on the psychosocial impacts of rosacea and on the importance of patient education, the use of dermatological cosmetics to enhance the effect of systemic therapy while referring to PDT.
