Περίληψη – Summary

Ο ιός των ανθρώπινων θηλωμάτων συνδέεται με πολλαπλές επιθηλιακές βλάβες ή καρκίνο. Η έγκαιρη διάγνωση και αντιμετώπιση της λοίμωξης από τον ιό HPV (μέτρα δευτερογενούς πρόληψης) ποικίλλει ανάλογα με το σημείο προσβολής και την εκδήλωση της νόσου. Μέσα στα πλαίσια της πρωτογενούς πρόληψης συνιστάται ο έγκαιρος εμβολιασμός έναντι του HPV, σύμφωνα με τα αναθεωρημένα χρονοδιαγράμματα εκτέλεσής του, και δίδονται συστάσεις για ειδικές ομάδες πληθυσμών συμπεριλαμβανομένων των εγκύων και των θηλαζουσών μητέρων.

Human papillomavirus is associated with multiple intraepithelial lesions or cancer. The diagnosis and treatment of HPV infection varies depending on the site of infection and the onset of the disease. Primary prevention measures recommend timely vaccination against HPV, in line with revised implementation schedules, and recommendations for specific groups of populations, including pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
